Just January

Hey all,

Sorry for the long absence, but my life really just isn't that interesting here in January. After a monster snow storm (I say "monster" b/c France isn't really used to snow...we only got about 5 inches...) everything had melted by new years and all we've had is rain, rain, and drizzling. Pretty depressing but the little glimpses sun are phenomenal. I've just been hanging here in Lens and Lille hanging w/ Americans and basically not speaking very much French...

But coming up is my February break and I'm very excited about it: Lots of traveling all over Europe and I hope I'm not going to run out of money! Also right now is the decision to reapply for a second year here as an assistant and I change my mind pretty much every other day which, as a 22 yr old I'm entitled to do, right? Right.

Special shoutout to Rodg and his Packers for the Super Bowl next weekend! I'm supposed to be heading on a road trip so we'll see if I'll be up for staying up late to see it.

Hope you're all well

There's the sun! Quick take a picture

Right outside my apartment

4 days after last snowfall, things are still shutdown

No bus for me

My contact teacher gave me this hideous thing as a joke gift.

So naturally I sent her pics of my using it.

Much MUCH prettier than Lens

What is a belfry?

Family Visit

Hey everyone,

Sorry it's taken so long to get the pictures up, but it's finally here! The visit with the family was a whirlwind adventure full of fun and plenty of ridiculous quotes from Bibs. A good time was had by all (I think) and double props to Kelcey for putting up with us! It takes a special kind of crazy to be able to deal w/ our family. As you can see, our adventures took us all over France with not too many mishaps. (not counting mom putting the wrong kind of gas in the car of course) Hope you enjoy the pics!

Merry Christmas!
